Optional hardware

Make selected mission concepts physical

MissionLab works fully in software. Institutions may add kits or a supervised KidSAT one-axis trainer when physical experimentation supports the curriculum, staffing and safety plan.

Hands-on learning

CubeSat learning kit

A physical route into structure, subsystems, assembly and classroom engineering activities. Availability and configuration are confirmed through an institutional quotation.

Supervised experimentation

KidSAT

A functional one-axis reaction-wheel demonstrator operated through the KidSAT Operator Console. Formal physical acceptance and measured Digital Twin correlation remain commissioning gates. MissionLab works fully in software without this hardware.

The authority boundary stays visible

Software completion stands alone

No learner needs a physical kit to complete MissionLab learning or produce software evidence.

Operators remain in control

A trained operator retains preflight, bounded-command and emergency-stop authority. Learner identity or subscription access grants none of these powers.

Evidence is never conflated

Simulation remains simulated. Telemetry from an accepted supervised run is measured and labelled as such. Correlation is training evidence, not flight qualification.
